Welcome to the ICC-2000-2002-Page of Cäcilienschule Oldenburg Germany as backgroundmusic you hear our official ICC-Hymn that was composed in 1999 together with students of our Partnerschools in Tokyo, Trstena, Canberra, Soest and Bremen You are interested how it was composed? Here´s the solution: 1999s Page of the ICC-Project ICC-Project created friendship: See Fotos of Mike Caesar from Canberra (australia), that was made during his visit at the Caecilienschule in Germany The new ICC-2000 Project-Composition: Pictures of an Exhibition (Gallery Page) Now the timetable of PICTURES OF AN EXHIBITION 1st Phase: December 99 till January 2000 Every team should send to the Oldenburg-Team two paintings. You can send the paintings via E-mail or we can download it directly from your webpages. We have installed a new Gallery Page for the Exhibition at our Caeci-Server, where you can see the paintings that arrived us till now. 2nd Phase: February 2000 till April 2000 Each team should compose the music to one picture (perhaps two pictures - we will see). The compositions should be finished at the 30th of april 2000. 3rd phase: May 2000 till July 2000 We should take one idea from the ICC-Hymn as promenade-theme. Each team should compose a promenade as musical connection between the paintings. The promenade should fulfil two conditions: the promenade theme must be recognized musical ideas of the both paintings, that were connectes must be used I think we should use different as Mussorsky not only the Promenade theme. The music should be morphed from one painting to the other without break. Perhaps you know this technique from the visual morphing software, that can fade over two photos from different persons. Person one fade over without recognized steps into person two. You know what I mean? Let´s try this morphing technique with music. At the end we should have a coherend piece of music of about 15 minutes lenghts. We will burn a CD of this music and we can download it as MP3 or Midi via Internet similar than shareware. The CD-ROM "Pictures of an Exhibion" will be published in march 2002 The Net-Version of the CD-ROM will be published in summer 2002 Have a first look and hear: Pictures of an Exhibition (Gallery Page) If you have any questions or more suggestions please let me know or write to midi@caeci.ol.ni.schule.de Some general informations about the International Composing and Communication Project If you want to know, what the ICC-Project is, how the ICC-Project has begun.
